Developed in 2016, the factsheet describes how, through certification, the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) ensures forests and their ecosystem services are responsibly managed and presents the new tools that will show businesses and investors that these natural benefits are being preserved, and will reward participating FSC certificate holders for doing so.


Developed in 2012, the ForCES toolkit is a set of 10 factsheets introducing FSC certification, explaining the role FSC has with respect to promoting responsible forest management and the potential role FSC can play towards ecosystem service in particular through the ForCES project. The latter is implemented in 4 countries (Chile, Indonesia, Vietnam and Nepal). Details of the implementation in each country can be found in the respective factsheets.
