Indonesia: experts meeting to discuss Ecosystem Services values

- On June 13th 2013, ForCES team conducted a second meeting of experts in Pontianak (West Kalimantan). Four experts met to talk about three ecosystem services values under ForCES project: hydrology, eco-tourism, and biodiversity. The experts focused part of their meeting on two aspects: orangutan preservation, due to its role in the ecosystem and as a touristic attraction; and on tropical fishery, due to its economic benefits and its impact on biodiversity. During the meeting, the experts looked into data recently collected on the three ES values and identified suitable monitoring tools and scheme. After the meeting, ForCES team prepared an experts field-visit in order to choose monitoring plots.
