Chile: new staff for Mechaico site

One new recruit as project local support for the Mechaico site. Javier Sanzana is a forester hired for three months to help with the local site work. He, together with FSC-CHILE and Astorga Consultants are starting to do the “ordering plans” (similar to a management plans but consider agricultural and forest aspects) by raising field information through direct interviews and site visits to the owners/lands in the Mechaico watershed. Moreover, as part of the Free Prior Informed Consent process, it is being agreed with the owners that these ordering plans are going to be detailed on paper for them to formally sign or agreed; later before the stage of implementation another agreement will be set and signed as a way to formalize execution.
